Gaetano Latilla

Gaetano Latilla (1702–1763) was an influential Italian composer and violinist, primarily associated with the Baroque genre. Born in Naples, Latilla became known for his contributions to the development of the Neapolitan opera and instrumental music during a vibrant period of musical innovation in Italy. Latilla's notable works include numerous operas, such as "L'eroe cinese" and "La finta pazza," which showcase his skill in crafting engaging melodies and complex harmonies. His operatic compositions contributed to the stylistic evolution of the Neapolitan school, influencing contemporaries and later composers.
